Problem Statement
Booking a photo booth today means email tag, manual invoices, signed PDFs, and chasing deposits. Hosts want one place to pick a date, sign a contract, pay a deposit, settle the final balance, and manage their event — without juggling four tools.
Personas
- The Wedding Planner — juggling 8 vendors, needs availability + contract in one view
- The Corporate Coordinator — needs branded receipts, NET-30 invoicing, W-9 on file
- The Birthday Host — first-time buyer, needs reassurance and a clear deposit/balance breakdown
User Journey
Discover → Browse packages → Check availability → Customize add-ons (backdrop, props, prints) → Reserve with deposit → e-Sign contract → Receive confirmation → Pay final balance 7 days before event → Day-of check-in → Post-event gallery + review.
User Flow
- Onboarding (3 screens) → Home
- Package → Date/Time → Add-ons → Summary → Deposit (Stripe/Apple Pay)
- Contract e-sign with saved signature
- My Events dashboard: countdown, balance, contract, location
- Automated reminder for final payment + day-of details
Wireframes
Low-fi wireframes prioritized the booking funnel: hero package card, sticky 'Check Availability' CTA, and a 3-step checkout (Package → Schedule → Pay). High-fi screens layered in the Lavish Curiosity purple + gold system, large editorial photography, and accessible 16px+ body type.
Solution
A focused 5-tab app — Browse, Calendar, My Events, Messages, Profile — that turns a multi-day booking saga into a 6-minute mobile checkout, with deposit, contract, and final payment handled in one thread.
Future Features
- AI prop & backdrop recommender based on event theme
- Live photo stream + gallery sharing during the event
- Vendor referral network (DJs, planners, venues)
- Multi-event corporate accounts with consolidated billing
